Today we left LA and headed up to Seattle. We had a tour of Bainbridge Island (think of the book Snow falling on Cedars) which was really interesting. But prior to that we went to the famous Pike Fish Markets famous for the Fish throwing motivational program, I got to be centre of attention as usual and catch a very large fish thrown at me by one of the guys who works there.
So far we have done some interesting stuff and seen some good libraries. Tomorrow we head for the Seattle Public library in the morning and then to the Gates Foundation in the afternoon where i have to do a presentation,
Still, nothing beats having had dinner with Michelle Obama!!!!
Being on an intrepid tour of US libraries is fabulous fun!

You should have taken the opportunity to give Michelle some advice to pass onto Obama..... how to plug that bloody oil leak. If anyone has the soultion and chutzpah it would be you!!

I hope there are photos of you catching the fish! Sounds like you are having a great time so far. I also heard this morning on RN that the public schools in Baltimore are participating in "No Meat Monday" - yet another reason why you will fit in there!
Pleased to see you are managing to hang with the rich and famous, yet still pack in some valuable work time. All good. Watch those flying fish! Enjoy the moments, it all goes so fast, when you are finally on your holiday.
